[Movies] Ed Norton Talks The Avengers Posted by Larry Csonka on 11.04.2009
He doesn’t seem too excited about the prospects…
- Ain't It Cool recently caught up with Ed Norton, and asked him about The Avengers, here is what he had to say…
What Does He Know About The Project?: "I'm not even sure deep inside the minds of Marvel how they are planning to string that stuff out, but I don't think any of if is imminent, I don't know."
On Doing The Avengers: "Things like that to me are always completely dependent on what they make of it. It's like anything can be the crappy version of itself or the great version of itself and if it's the great version of itself, then that's one thing. If they don't get it right, then I don't know, then I think… A lot of it depends on what they come up with."
- The Avengers is set for a May 2012 release date, and as of now, there are no official plans for a sequel to The Incredible Hulk.

for a guy who has played the second worst Bruce (David) Banner since Eric Bana, he sure has a lot of unfounded opinions of what is good.
seriously, the ONLY thing separating Norton's Hulk from utter shite is that they used the same basic story structure for the end fight that Iron Man had.

He is still pissy that he didn't get his version of Hulk out. Some night not like it but the fact is the studio was right and the version they put out was fun. Something the hulk franchise was lacking. That said, and I see my option is different from other comments I hope things work out to get him in as hulk for the avengers since I enjoyed the movie and would like to see the continuity intact.

It's too bad about his falling out with Marvel. The Avengers need Hulk.

First off, where did it say he wasn't doing The Avengers?
Second, he sounds like a guy who's more interested and knowledgeable about working on other projects because the film they're asking him about doesn't come out for 3 years and hasn't even gone into production.
Jeez, how do you people conclude that just because there's an Avengers movie and Ed Norton isn't eating Incredible Hulk Flakes and knows first-hand what's happening with the film, then you somehow assume he isn't going to do the film?

Totally underrated... Norton's work has been VERY good. Fight Club, American History X, that film with Robert D etc..
He is the SHIZNIT.

He's not showing his cards before he gets a deal in place. The worst thing to do financially is to say, "Oh yeah I'd love to do that movie."
If you need the fame boost you do that, but Norton has no problem getting scripts I'm sure.
